Intricate Secondary Operations & Assemblies

We excel at intricate assemblies requiring secondary operations such as machining, fastening and sonic welding

MPR provides a full-service secondary department where we perform value-added operations to the parts we mold. We excel at intricate assemblies requiring secondary operations such as machining, fastening and sonic welding. We maintain a complete line of plastic machining equipment to perform drilling, tapping, turning, broaching and routing.

In addition to insert molding, we also maintain three sonic welding stations, a riveting machine and a pneumatic press for assembly and insert work. Our customers benefit from our skilled labor force and attractive cost structure!

Medical Pump

MPR Plastics manufactured 100% of the plastic components on these very high precision medical pumps.

Peristaltic Pump

MPR molds and assembles peristaltic pumps for GE.

Gauge

This precision assembly requires a pointer-indicator to be held to +/- 3 degrees, the concentricity in a molded polycarbonate lens to be held to +/- .002″, and a hermetic seal of the assembly through sonic welding.

Balance Chamber

The valve stroke on a precision assembly is held to +/- .001”. An internal component has flatness held to .002” across surfaces with diameters 1.050” and .720”. An automatic unscrewing core forms extremely fine 40 threads per inch on a 1.216”I.D. in the outer component.
